Marketing Director - Remote

We are hiring a Marketing Director to work hands on with our teams and clients. 

This role will focus on providing leadership, team management, marketing training, maintaining standards/alignment, driving client value, setting client goals, marketing execution with client accounts, and overseeing daily operations of marketing teams and specialists. This role is not for marketing Ironpaper (the agency), but the role will focus on client services.

Responsibilities for this position include driving client value, marketing strategy and execution, provide coaching, performance management, and team management.

Experience:

We are seeking a smart and capable manager with a background in digital marketing or agency operations. Must have experience managing and coaching professionals. Capable of building and executing simple, clear systems to improve marketing operations. Well-versed in digital marketing.

Capable Marketer. Motivational Leader.

We are looking for someone who can navigate right brain / left brain thinking. Yes, this is a creative position, while it also requires clear communication and organization skills. We are seeking a well-balanced individual that would love to play a key role in the growth of a highly impactful digital agency.

Core responsibilities


  • Learn Ironpaper's approach to marketing
  • Oversee client services for marketing
  • Lead strategy sessions for B2B digital marketing
  • Lead client accounts--managing the relationship, setting goals, providing strategy, and leadership.
  • Retain and grow client relationships
  • Conduct team working sessions, strategy/whiteboarding sessions, and team meetings
  • Lead coaching and professional development training for marketers
  • Performance management for marketing teams
  • Conduct practice presentations, pitches, and meetings
  • Coaching marketing team members to improve their performance, motivation, and success.
  • Review client analytics to help set and communicate goals
  • Marketing campaign creation, optimization, and management



  • Improving communications between teams and clients
  • Creative and strategic problem solving to help the agency have more successful relationships with clients
  • Management strategy and execution to support growth of agency, client accounts, and teams at Ironpaper
  • Performance coaching and training: Regular, structured, one-on-one meetings to help individuals improve their capabilities, get the help they need, and strategically align to the agency’s value proposition
  • Development of systems and processes to improve marketing team performance.
  • Coach teams how to achieve marketing goals within the scope of a monthly retainer
  • Coordinate performance review process: people, teams, project

Qualifications include

  • Must be remote within the US only, and be able to work 9am - 6pm EST
  • Great communication and client-facing skills
  • Expert at B2B marketing with a focus on inbound marketing, lead acquisition, and nurturing.
  • Management experience (people, process, and presentation skills)
  • Marketing leadership experience: inspire, coordinate, and motivate marketers and teams
  • Inbound marketing execution and strategy skills

Our ideal candidate would be self-driven, passionate about learning, and friendly.

The candidate should understand inbound marketing strategy and execution, and have an understanding of data analysis and marketing automation.

Learning & personal development for this role:

We are seeking an individual that embodies our passion for ongoing learning. We are open to candidates that may need to gain new skills for this role and will take 5-6 HubSpot and Google certifications within the first year to help with skill development. We also expect that this candidate will be open to learning and becoming a champion for Ironpaper's methodologies for marketing, sales, content, and management. Additionally, this position will require someone that will continuously learn and gain new and diverse skills over time.
